Thank you, Sir George Martin!

Thank you, Sir George Martin!

The passing of Sir George Martin at age 90 is a great loss to us all.  He was such a profound force in the shaping of the music and sound of The Beatles.  I have been an avid fan of The Beatles since they first emerged when I was a wee tyke of 13!  As you already know, if you have heard my ‘GUITARtistry” performances, I feature a healthy sampling of fingerstyle guitar arrangements of Beatles music each night.  In honor of Sir George, I will be dusting off more of their vast repertoire and adding more of their amazing songs to my performances.  If you, too, are a fan of the Fab Four, come join me at one of my upcoming performances and enjoy the nostalgia!

Schedule change at Golden Goose American Grill and more…

Posted by on Dec 15, 2015 in gig news!

RC by Barb Caligari - enhanced

While I continue to perform three nights per week at Golden Goose American Grill (formerly Golden Goose Café & Bistro),  My Wednesdays have shifted to Thursday nights.  So you can find me there every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday night.

I’m “seasoning” my sets this month with a few holiday favorites to get us in the mood.  Some other recent additions to my set includes songs by Eric Clapton, Harry Chapin, John Denver, Neil Diamond, Spirit, Toto, Grateful Dead and The Bothers Four.  How’s that for diversity?!

Another new development…  I will now be performing two Wednesdays per month at the Grill at ShadowRock at the Hilton in Village of Oak Creek.  See my performance calendar on my web site, www.rickcyge.com for details.

I wish all my friends and music fans a happy and healthy holiday season!  I hope to see you soon…

Big changes for Golden Goose Cafe & Bistro this Fall!

Big changes for Golden Goose Cafe & Bistro this Fall!

DSCN5119I’m a little late getting the word out about this BUT…..

First of all, my schedule at Golden Goose has been expanded once again – this time from two nights per week to three – Sundays, Tuesdays and now Wednesdays!  I’ve recently passed my one year milestone of performing at GG!  I really enjoy this venue and the variety of patrons – both tourists and locals – that join us for an evening of dinner and entertainment.  I have been performing out on their patio this fall when weather has permitted and that has been a lot of fun!  Probably won’t be out there again until spring.  With great support from the local media and chamber of commerce, I have built a nice following that come to enjoy both the food and my Baby Boomer mix of guitar covers.

Second, within the past month or so, the restaurant has acquired an outstanding five star chef to run their kitchen and have just launched a new menu reflecting his culinary talents in many new and exciting dishes!  The amazing thing is that while the food quality and variety has taken a leap, the prices have remained the same – very reasonable.  If you’ve been to this venue before, you owe it to yourself to come back and check out the wonderful changes!  I guarantee you will be impressed!

With these two changes, the word is out and it is not uncommon to have to wait a bit for a table if you don’t make reservations.  So…. plan ahead and call 928-282-1447 to make a reservation.  Be sure to ask to be seated near the music!  When you come (notice I didn’t say “if”!), please tell the manager if you enjoyed the music!  Thanks!

See you soon!
