Cyge opens new series at Old Town Center for the Arts’ Studio B this Thursday!
Guitarist Rick Cyge will open the newest performance venue in the Verde Valley – Live at Studio B – on Thursday, March 12, at 7 p.m.
Studio B is part of the Old Town Center for the Arts complex in Cottonwood. Studio is an intimate and informal venue for local performances of all kind, with seating for 50.
Drawing from his years in the folk music scene of Boston & New England in the 70s and 80s, Rick Cyge is an accomplished and unique fingerstyle guitarist.
He will perform solo for this Studio B performance.
He also performs as a duo with his wife and flutist, Lynn Trombetta as Meadowlark, and as one-half of the baby-boomer musical act of Seymour & Cyge.
Cyge will be sharing some of his favorite folk and acoustic songs by some of the finest songwriters in the acoustic music scene, including Chris Smither, Richard Shindell, Ralph McTell and, of course, James Taylor. He is sure to also include some of his unique instrumental guitar performances of what he calls “Baby Boomer Classics”.
“I am looking forward to kicking off this new series in the intimate setting of Studio B. Join us for a warm and nostalgic evening of familiar favorites and some new songs you’ve probably never heard but are sure to enjoy!”
Studio B is located at 633 N. 5th Street (corner of 5th Street and Main Street) in Cottonwood, adjacent to the main theater. Tickets are $10 – cash only at the door.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Live at Studio B offers performances on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month.
