Earth & Sky: A Musical Journey
Original instrumental music inspired by nature and cultures from around the world
Meadowlark’s beautiful, nature-inspired compositions feature Rick Cyge’s fingerstyle guitar artistry alongside Lynn Trombetta’s flute and Irish whistles. Formed in 1993 while performing at a small outdoor café in a beautiful pecan orchard, their mostly Celtic repertoire soon evolved into original musical creations inspired by their surroundings. West Coast tours through mountains, along rivers and oceans, and among ancient redwood forests gave birth to unique new works with titles such as “CreekSpirit,” “Circle of Giants,” “African Skies,” and “Shores of Albion.”
Meadowlark invites listeners to experience entrainment—the natural process of becoming attuned to the rhythms and pulses around us—and to reconnect with the living rhythms of nature that have inspired their music.
A Celtic Celebration
A lively musical journey through the rich traditions of Ireland, Scotland and beyond
Meadowlark's Celtic Celebration features Rick Cyge’s guitar and mandolin alongside Lynn Trombetta’s flute and Irish whistles in a style described as “Pure Celtic-crossover magic!” Also performing as “Ally & The Boys” with violinist Allen Ames and other guest musicians, the ensemble brings an exciting mix of traditional and contemporary jigs, reels, songs, and airs. Don’t miss this spirited blend of Celtic tradition and contemporary flair!
